The Battle for Texas Poker is a passion-driven docu-series brought to life by P&R Creative, a Houston-based production house known for crafting compelling, story-first content that resonates across cultures and industries. Rooted in Texas and built on a foundation of authentic storytelling, P&R Creative approaches this project with a deep respect for both the game of poker and the history that surrounds it.

The series is led by Anthony Jackson, Director of the project, a proud Texan and dedicated poker player whose personal connection to the game fuels the vision behind the film. For Anthony and the P&R team, this is more than a documentary—it’s a mission to capture the origins, evolution, and ongoing fight that define poker in its home state.

By combining cinematic storytelling with real voices from within the poker community, The Battle for Texas Poker aims to preserve a uniquely Texan legacy while shedding light on the legal and cultural battles that continue to shape its future.
